Terms and Conditions

Dogs and cats will only be accepted for grooming and/or boarding once the owner has completed and submitted the booking through Google Calendar. By submitting a booking, the owner acknowledges and agrees to the applicable Terms and Conditions.

  1. The customer confirms that all information provided to DoggyLand is accurate and agrees to the stated treatment and service costs.
  2. DoggyLand cannot be held liable for any illness, fire, accident, or other damage incurred while the dog is in our care, except where covered under our liability insurance.
  3. If it is considered necessary to shave a dog’s coat due to excessive matting, the owner will be contacted beforehand to discuss the recommended treatment. Please be aware that shaving a heavily matted coat may cause temporary skin irritation or minor injuries such as redness, itching, nicks, cuts, or other sensitivities. In some cases, skin conditions hidden beneath the matting may only become visible after the coat has been removed.
By proceeding with the treatment, the owner acknowledges these possible risks and agrees that DoggyLand and its staff cannot be held liable for any aftereffects resulting from the removal of a severely matted or neglected coat.
At DoggyLand, the comfort and wellbeing of every dog is our priority. If a dog becomes overly stressed or uncomfortable during the grooming process, we reserve the right to stop the treatment for the safety and welfare of the animal. In such cases, alternative arrangements will be discussed with the owner.
Additional grooming fees may apply for severely matted or extra-thick coats due to the extra time, specialist handling, and increased wear on grooming equipment required. Additional grooming time is charged at €20.
Please note that DoggyLand may take photos and/or videos during grooming appointments and reserves the right to use these for promotional or educational purposes.

  4. If veterinary expenses are incurred as a result of an injury, the matter must be reported to DoggyLand in writing within 24 hours and supported by a veterinary report. Failure to do so DoggyLand will not cover the costs of veterinary care or any other related expenses.
  5. The owner (or another responsible person) agrees to inform HundOffice prior to the visit if the dog has bitten anyone or exhibits any aggressive tendencies. HundOffice reserves the right to muzzle the dog or refuse to groom it if it poses a danger to staff or other dogs in our care. We videotape every case of neglect brought into the salon, and we also save a sample of the fur.
  6. It is expected that dogs arrive for their grooming appointment in a well-maintained condition. This means the coat has been regularly brushed and combed at home, all the way down to the skin, between grooming visits, and that the dog is presented without matting or excessive tangles.

Dogs requiring additional coat care due to matting, excessive shedding, or poor coat condition may require extra grooming time and specialist handling. In such cases, additional charges may apply.

  7. DoggyLand will carry out a basic visual health check during your dog’s grooming appointment. This may include an external examination of the teeth and gums, claws, skin and coat, eyes, ears, and nose. If any concerns are noticed, the owner will be informed and advised on possible next steps.

Please note that DoggyLand is not a veterinary practice and cannot provide veterinary diagnoses or medical advice. Where necessary, owners may be advised to seek professional veterinary care for their dog.

  8. All prices quoted are based on the dog’s size, coat condition, behaviour, and the time required for grooming. If additional work or handling is necessary due to matting, poor coat condition, or behavioural issues, extra charges may apply accordingly.
  9. If the owner wishes to cancel an appointment with DoggyLand, we kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice (one business day). Late cancellations or failure to attend an appointment may result in a cancellation fee of up to €55, as it may not be possible to fill the appointment slot at short notice. Any applicable cancellation fee will be invoiced accordingly.
  10. If a dog is not collected at the agreed pickup time, a late collection fee of €10 per 30 minutes may be added to the final bill.
  11. DoggyLand may take before-and-after photos of dogs during grooming appointments and for as long as they are staying with us. These images may be used on our website or social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram. If the owner does not wish for their dog’s photos to be used, they must inform a member of staff prior to the appointment.
  12. Dogs should be given the opportunity to relieve themselves before their grooming appointment. This helps ensure the dog remains comfortable during the grooming process and helps prevent accidents in the salon.

If a dog urinates or defecates during the appointment and requires an additional bath or cleaning treatment, an extra charge may apply in accordance with our current pricing.

Additional conditions for dog boarding

  1. All dogs attending boarding services must be up to date with vaccinations, including kennel cough where applicable. Proof of vaccination may be requested prior to boarding. DoggyLand reserves the right to refuse admission to any dog showing signs of illness, parasites, or contagious conditions.
  2. In the event of illness, injury, or a medical emergency, DoggyLand reserves the right to seek veterinary treatment for the dog if the owner cannot be contacted immediately. Any veterinary expenses incurred during the boarding period remain the responsibility of the owner.
  3. Owners may provide personal belongings such as bedding, toys, or food for their dog’s stay. While every care will be taken, DoggyLand cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal items brought onto the premises.
  4. Female dogs in season cannot be accepted for boarding, daycare, or group care services. Owners must inform DoggyLand prior to their booking if their dog is in season or expected to come into season during their stay. DoggyLand reserves the right to refuse admission or request early collection if a dog comes into season while in our care.
  5. DoggyLand can administer medication to dogs during their stay, provided clear written instructions are supplied by the owner prior to boarding. All medication must be provided in its original packaging and clearly labelled with the dog’s name, dosage, and administration instructions. While every care will be taken, DoggyLand cannot accept responsibility for complications arising from undisclosed medical conditions or incorrect instructions provided by the owner.
  6. Owners must provide clear feeding instructions prior to boarding, including portion sizes, feeding times, and any dietary requirements or allergies. Where a dog requires a specific diet, owners are asked to supply sufficient food for the duration of the stay. DoggyLand cannot be held responsible for digestive upset or health issues resulting from sudden dietary changes, undisclosed allergies, or insufficient food supplied by the owner.
  7. Dogs boarding at DoggyLand may interact and socialize with other dogs under supervised conditions, unless otherwise agreed or deemed unsuitable. Owners must inform DoggyLand of any behavioral issues, aggression, anxiety, or socialization concerns prior to boarding. While every reasonable precaution is taken to ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs, DoggyLand cannot be held liable for minor injuries or incidents that may occur during supervised play or social interaction.
  8. Owners are required to collect their dog on the agreed collection date and time unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance. If a dog is not collected and the owner cannot be contacted, DoggyLand reserves the right to continue boarding the dog at the owner’s expense.

If a dog remains uncollected for more than 7 days after the agreed collection date, without communication or payment from the owner, DoggyLand reserves the right to contact the relevant authorities and make suitable arrangements for the dog’s ongoing care or re-homing, in accordance with applicable animal welfare regulations.

  9. DoggyLand shall not be held liable for delays, cancellations, interruptions of services, or any inability to fulfill obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to, severe weather conditions, natural disasters, power outages, road closures, illness, accidents, government restrictions, emergencies, or other unforeseen events.

In the event of an emergency affecting boarding or grooming services, DoggyLand will make every reasonable effort to contact the owner and ensure the continued safety and welfare of all dogs in our care.

  10. During peak periods, including public holidays and school holidays, DoggyLand may require a non-refundable deposit to secure boarding reservations. Bookings will only be confirmed once the deposit has been received.

Cancellations made within the agreed notice period may be eligible for a partial refund at DoggyLand’s discretion. However, cancellations made at short notice, early departures, or no-shows during peak periods are non-refundable, as the reserved space may not be able to be filled.

Any breach of these Terms and Conditions may result in the immediate refusal, suspension, or termination of DoggyLand’s services. DoggyLand reserves the right to refuse future bookings where an owner fails to comply with the agreed terms, provides false or misleading information, fails to make payment, or behaves in an abusive, threatening, or inappropriate manner towards staff.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any disputes arising in relation to DoggyLand’s services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Ireland.
